Meeting 100% of demonstrated need
Skidmore College offers aid on the basis of calculated financial need. Put simply, we take the cost of attendance - family contribution = your financial aid offer. The result is a package that meets 100% of your demonstrated need.
Applying for aid
Fill out the CSS Profile. That's it! Simply complete the profile and submit it by the deadline associated with your application cycle. Later on in the process, you may also complete the FAFSA to be considered for state and federal aid, but all we need to get started is the CSS Profile.
- ED I: Submit by November 8
- ED II and RD: Submit by January 15
Cost of Attendance
Skidmore's comprehensive fee includes tuition, fees, housing, and board changes. Your financial aid package will also consider expenses for books, supplies, transportation, and more.
Types of Aid
Skidmore aid packages can include Skidmore grants, Skidmore scholarships, government grants, work-study, and zero or low student loans, depending on total family income. If awarded, your package will re-offered annually to ensure your need is met all four years and can be appealed if your circumstances change.
Estimate your Aid
We offer two tools to help estimate your Skidmore costs and eligibility for need-based financial aid. Use the Quick Cost Estimator as a tool for general estimates. Use the Net Price Calculator for in-depth estimates.
